My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around.

I'm never going back, the past is in the past.
The cold never bothered me, anyway

50 years ago today, America was still reeling from the untimely death of not only our president, but of our optimism and idealism. Across the pond in Great Britain, a show aired featuring an old man, a police box, and a junkyeard.
Called “Doctor Who”, it was originally intended as an educational program for kids. However, a shortage of usable scripts forced them to take a risk and base their second story on an allegorically Nazi alien race called the Daleks…and the rest is history.
Skip ahead 49 years to 2012, which had been an…interesting year for me so far. At the time, I was desperately in need of a pick-me-up. Enter Katy Carter, who sat me down and introduced me to a big eared, mysterious man called The Doctor. Curiousity gave way to intrigue, and by the time “Dalek” rolled around, I was hooked. Here was a man I could aspire towards, at once goofy and serious, a rigid pacifist, full of hope and child-like wonder and empathetic even towards those who tried to kill him. When 9 regenerated into 10, I was sold.
Doctor Who has taught me that I can be a man and still be myself, that non-violence is a strength, not a weakness, and I’ve relearned how to see the world with the wonder I thought I’d left behind long ago alongside the hope I was so afraid to have.
Thank you, Doctor. Happy 50th.
> did you ever count?
> count what?

aint no party like a timelord party cause a timelord party has 2 other versions of yourself, invisible wolfs, confused old men, and alien clones.
